i.Unit 1: This unit deals with two short stories and both stories are based on some moral lessons.

ii.Unit 2: There are two poems in second unit where student can learn the feeling of patriotism and peace within the self.

iii.      Unit 3: This unit comprises of two non-fictional prose. That depicts the lives of Milkha Singh and NetajiSubhash Chandra Bose.

iv.       Unit 4: In this unit, students get a chance to study Direct-Indirect narration and writing for print media. This will improve students speech and writing skills.

oTheory: 50 marks, 

oInternal : 25 marks

Assessment: class test /mid semester exam of 10 marks + Tutorial /Project/Viva of 15 marks= 25 marks
